Client Override Code Process

SOP MUST be reviewed - Some State regulations do not permit codes

If you are trained to provide override codes, please proceed and provide a code if a client is ready to leave for their appointment (review SOP first for state regulation procedures)

Not Trained on Override Codes/Future Override Code:

Submit a UTR POC ticket to CSG - Here
- Make sure the client is in a Permanent Lockout State
  - View how to determine permanent lockout HERE. Must ask probing questions.
- The Client MUST have a fully charged car battery
- Advise the client they must be with the vehicle when CSG contacts them for the code
- If client has a FC100/FI100, advise of the paperclip

*If a client is requesting an immediate override or is after CSG hours, please escalate in chat to see if anyone is available to provide the code

For Same Day Appointment CSG Code Requests - CSG requires a 1 hour plus drive time lead time. If a code is needed immediately, escalate in chat.

Mechanic Process

SOP MUST be reviewed - Some State regulations do not permit Mechanic bypasses

The Mechanic Bypass process is only for Certified Mechanics performing the work. Once submitted, CSG will review all the information and will contact the Mechanic to provide them with instructions.

Completed Mechanic Affidavit must be returned to:

Steps:

Review SOP to determine if the Mechanic bypass is permitted first
Send Mechanic Affidavit or direct them to the LifeSafer site. Advise Mechanic to complete the entire form.
Mechanic must send back completed Mechanic Affidavit and a copy of the work order on company letterhead, invoices, and/or receipts associated with this vehicle service/repair.
They will submit this form via fax or email. Once received, CSG will review and contact the mechanic directly with further bypass instructions.
